    P-plate exemption [NSW]

    Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows of any experiences with attempting to get a p-plate exemption for the Scirocco R?

Preferably after the new power-to-weight ratio came into effect in NSW last year.

    Thanks in advance!

You could apply, but "it's the only car in the family" apparently doesn't work too well. Neither does "I really like them and I want to buy one".

Sadly the answer may very well be, no

Maybe if you're in your third year... maybe. But even then probably not.

They have been nice enough to allow turbo cars to be driven (depending on power to weight) so I think it may be pushing it a little. You can only try but.
